A Mystical Forest In Belgium

Nature has innumerate ways to charm us, so it never ceases to amaze us. It is alive, it grows and develops, changes and moves, and every opportunity to enjoy its splendor is healing.
If you ever go to Belgium, you will be fascinated if you go to Hallerbos (or Halle Forest in Dutch), also known as The Blue Forest, which is one of the most beautiful, mystical, fairytale-like place on Earth!
It is not very far from Brussels, and a short trip to the forest will be an unforgettable experience!
What makes this forest magical is its dense carpet of blue and violet flowers, called Bluebell, all over it. While it is open to visitors throughout the entire year, you should know that bluebells thrive and bloom in spring and early summer.

Therefore, for a few weeks every year, this phenomenon transforms the forest into a magical sea of blue.  The dense flower floor of the forest is a sign that it is very old, that is, the area has consistently remained wooded for at least 300-400 years.

Moreover, the foggy conditions are perfect for photographers, adding to the mysterious setting.

According to the Hallerbos website, the place is “the most important and most extensive forest area between Zenne and Zoniën”, and apart from the bluebell carpet, available around mid-April, “the giant Sequoia trees also make a visit to this forest more than worth it.”
