Photos taken just a few moments before something tragic happened
HEART RENDING CONTENT AHEAD.
(1) Gone too soon
American actress and model Sharon Tate was 8-months pregnant in this snapshot. Later in the evening, she was murdered by stabbing, along with four others, by Charles Manson’s crime family.
(2) Happiness is
Robert Giblin, a Canadian soldier, shared this picture of him and his pregnant wife on Facebook. He even captioned it “Happiness is.” Moments later, he stabbed her and threw her off the balcony. The Afghanistan veteran then committed suicide by leaping to his death.
(3) Paris shooting victim
This is Gilles Leclerc pictured with his wife Marriane Lavbanane at the Bataclan Concert Hall as they watched the concert of the Eagles of Death Metal in November 2015. Gunmen eventually entered the venue and started shooting everyone in sight in what is now known as the Paris shootings. While Marriane made it out alive, Gilles was one of the casualties.
(4) Farewell smile
In 2013, 22-year-old Gabriela Hernandez posted this photo on Facebook before taking her own life. She wrote:
“Goodbye to all, I don’t have anything now, I don’t have anything. Julio I love you, never forget it. I’m leaving with a smile because you made me very happy while this lasted. To my family, I ask for your forgiveness. Love,Gabi.”
(5) Russian daredevil
Little did Andrey Retrovsky that this would be his last day on earth. He fell off the building ten seconds after this photo was taken.
(6) Off to dream vacation
Dave Hally photographed his wife and 4-year-old daughter moments before the Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 took flight.
(7) The space shuttle disaster.
This was the last photo of the NASA Space Shuttle orbiter Challenger crew as they prepared to board January 28, 1986. The spacecraft broke apart 73 seconds after it took flight leading to the death of all 7 crew members.
