Greek Mythology : Ganymede
My favourite myths are of Zeus' many lovers and their tragedies afterwards. But one particularly caught my attention, the love story of Zeus and the prince of Troy, Ganymede (cool huh?).
So yeah, like always, Zeus waa wandering around Olympus looking for some hotties, and then he spots this super duper charming guy who is sheperding some sheep (this job must be done when a prince is young) and no surprise, he turns into an eagle and kidnaps the poor prince. Poor guy didn't know what the hell just happened. Eventually, Ganymede became the gods cupbearer replacing Hebe, and was made immortal. He became the minor god for homosexual love, some believed him to be the horoscope Aquarius too. How ironic, since he is the only one of Zeus' affairs who doesnt suffer from a tragic end. Bravo, I wish this story could come in more detail in Greek Myths but thats all I've got.
P.s: Jupiter's (planet) largest satellite is named after Ganymede too!
