Greek Mythology : Story of Bellerophon
Story of Bellerophon.
Bellerophon was sent to the king of Argos with a message bearing message. The king wined and dined him, but, when he read the message, the instructions on the letter said to kill him. So, rather than risking divine wrath and the fact that he already was an honored guest, the king sent Bellerophon on a near impossible task to kill a deadly creature of great renown, the Chimaera. A creature that was terrorizing his kingdom, He did so with the help of Pegasus by driving a lead tipped spear down its throat. The king sent him on a few more missions and he succeeded. However, since he became an arrogant prick he decided he could go to Olympus but was truck down by Zeus himself. Cool yet tragic.
