This Inspires Me

This Girl….

We all Indians have often heard that the civil service exams (IAS) can easily be described as one of the toughest examinations in India...
I can bet you will no longer think as such after reading this answer…
The girl in the picture is Bhakti Ghatole. She is from Nagpur. At the age of six months, it was detected that she had Retinoblastoma (a type of cancer) in her right eye. Doctors did everything they could to prevent it from spreading to her left eye, but they were unsuccessful and within nine years, Bhakti Ghatole lost her eyesight. But that doesn’t stop her from pursuing her dreams and ambitions with infectious zest!
She scored 94 percent in her 10th class board exams and was the topper in the state for the disabled category. She went on to be the second in Nagpur in her 12th class board exams with 88 percentile.

Today, she is Twenty one years old and has done something that no one could have predicted at that time. She won the gold medal for topping political science at the prestigious Nagpur University.
Not only this she is also very passionate about becoming a psychologist and then fulfilling her dream of becoming an IAS officer (most of us just talk HOW DIFFICULT IT IS!!)
I take hat off to Bhakti Ghatole for her dedication, hard work and concrete passion to follow her dreams and achieve in life what she want.
She has proved that one needs only hard work and passion to succeed. Thanks Bhakti Ghatole for being an inspiration for us.
