Free time observations
I have collected some statistics, you would be surprised by knowing it .
- More than 93% of all the people who’ve ever lived are now dead.
There have been more than 107 billion people throughout history. More than 100 billion of them have died. How many of this huge population have you ever heard of?
In some sense, we are all a minority today, all 7.5 billion of us.

- Half of the world’s population lives on 1% of its land. That’s more than 3.5 billion people living in the small yellow areas. The other half is spreaded over the remaining 99%.
To put that into perspective, take Taipei 101 in Taiwan, once the tallest building in the world.
Now imagine that half of its residents decided to live on just one floor, leaving the remaining 100 floors of building for the other half. How strange would that look like? This is exactly how we reside on Earth.

- 5% of the world lives in the red area. The same number of people live in the blue area.
More than 375,000,000 people are living in this tiny region, which only covers Bangladesh and three Indian states. The blue area, on the other hand, covers 54 countries, among which are Canada, Australia and Saudi Arabia! Add to them 44 cities and states from different parts of the world, including nine U.S. states!

And here’s a bonus stat for you:
At any given moment, there are around 1.2 million people, on average, up in the sky!
……On airplanes, of course :)
