It Will Make You Think "Oh...!"
In 1995 strange underwater crop circles were discovered on the seafloor near Japan and for over a decade it was unknown what created them. Eventually it was discovered that they are made by Pufferfish to attract females during the mating season and to protect their eggs. The circles measure 2 meters/7ft in diameter or over 20 times the size of the Pufferfish and take up to nine days to construct. The Pufferfish must constantly maintain their circles or else the ocean currents will wash them away and this is very exhausting. Once the eggs hatch the Pufferfish abandon their circles and move on leaving these amazing works of art to be washed away.
Billions of years ago Venus may have been Earth-like with moderate temperatures and shallow oceans that may have supported life. However since Venus is located closer to the Sun than Earth these oceans slowly evaporated into space and carbon dioxide levels increased leading to a runaway greenhouse causing the hostile conditions of modern Venus. If life existed in the oceans of Venus than it could have evolved and colonized the less hostile upper atmosphere, fossils of sulfur based microbes have been found on Earth so maybe similar life survives in the clouds of Sulfuric acid in the Venusian atmosphere.
In December 2016 Pewdiepie became the first YouTuber to gain 50 million subscribers and was awarded the Ruby Play Button. The Play Button is bright red and shaped like his channel logo which is a hand in the process of giving a fist bump. Pewdiepie also received a handful of miniature Ruby Play Buttons which he sent to his most loyal followers and since it was designed specifically for Pewdiepie it is unknown if the reward will be given to any future Youtuber who reaches this milestone. However, since the second most subscribed Youtuber only has 32 million subscribers it may take a while for someone else to reach this milestone.
Aokigahara forest is located on the northwest flank of Mount Fuji in Japan and is the second most popular place for suicide after the Golden Gate Bridge. Statistics vary but an average of 105 documented suicides occur in the forest each year and its so bad that there now signs outside the forest urging people to contact a suicide prevention association. Authorities regularly do walkthroughs of the forest to remove corpses, but there are also bandits hoping to loot the bodies before they are removed. Visitors are advised to stay out of Aokigahara forest because its easy to get lost, fall into deep holes covered by leaves and because the forest is said to be haunted by the ghosts of those who have killed themselves within its trees.
