How deep can we dive ?
Depth of oceans is mysterious and intriguing. Neither did I know about how deep divers have attempted diving until I read it.
With every 10 meters under water, the pressure rises by one atmosphere, which means that at 50 meters the pressure is five times as high as it is on surface.
The deepest free dive was made by Austrian diver Herbert Nitsch. He had been training for months to achieve a depth of 831 feet.
The deepest dive with scuba gear was made by Egyptian diver Ahmed Gabr at 1089 feet.
Both of them passed the euphotic zone which is a point beneath the ocean at which sun can penetrate water.
