Story behind the "Nobel Prize"

This is Alfred Nobel
The name “Nobel”, as we know it today, twines with a prestigious award called the Nobel Prize — in recognition of academic, cultural, or scientific advances.
However, the award is Alfred Nobel’s restorative efforts to cover his guilt.
When Alfred Nobel’s brother died in 1888, a french newspaper erroneously published an obituary of him
The obituary stated —
Le marchand de la mort est mort ("The merchant of death is dead")
Alfred Nobel is also the inventor of the dynamite, which he launched as a commercial explosive, which was also misused by many as a weapon of destruction.
This invention gave him the image of “The merchant of death”.
The erroneous publication concerned Alfred Nobel with how he would be remembered once he’s gone.
So on his last will and testament, he had set aside the bulk of his estate to establish the “Nobel Prize”.
Yes, The Nobel Prize, while very prestigious today, is an effort of a Man who wanted to cover his guilt and be remembered differently.
